Early Life
Michelle LaVaughn Obama (Then Robinson) was born January 17th 1964 in Chicago Illinois to Fraser C. Robinson the third and Marian Shields-Robinson. Her older brother Craig Robinson and her often completed to see who did better in school and who was the favorite child of the two. As a kid she never want to dis-point her father since he had multiple sclerosis and he never complained about anything so, she never complained, always went to school, and always did what her parents told her to do. In high school Michelle Obama went to Whitney M.Young Magnet School. She attended Princeton University from 1981 then graduating in 1985. She then attended Harvard Law School from 1985 then graduating in 1988.

Adulthood
After Harvard Michelle Obama worked at a law firm (Sidley Austin) where in 1989 she met future husband Barack Obama. He was a intern and she was his adviser. They started dating and on October 3rd 1992 they were married. Six years later Malia Ann Obama was born on July 4th 1998. In 2001 their second daughter was born on June 10th. In 2008 she put her career on hold and became first lady. In 2012 she became first lady for the second time.

Why honor and Known for
Michelle Obama is best know for being the first African-American first lady. She has stared many programs such as Let's move, Join Forces, Let girls learn, and Reach Higher. Let's move is program to help kids make healthy choices everyday. Let girls learn helps young women in countries were they are not allowed to learn, have an education. Join Forces helps military families with support when a member is deployed. Finally Reach Higher help high school students to stay in school and go to college.
