Amelia Earhart was a famous aviator, until her famous around-the-world plane trip ended young Earhart's life.
Amelia Mary Earhart was born on July 24, 1897, in her grandparent's house. Growing up, she was a major tomboy and daredevil. For education, she obviously when to elementary, middle, and high school, but for college, she went to Columbia University, in NYC.
When Amelia was 23 years old, she and her father went to the Long Beach air show in California. She took her first plane ride in rogers field, and although it was only 10 minutes long, she knew that she had to begin her career of flying. Nearby, a woman named Anita "Neta" Snook was giving flying lessons for the price of a dollar a minute. Although that was a lot of money back then, Amelia was able to pay, and she did. Finally, in December of 1921, she received her pilot's license. She made her place in the record book, but in doing so resulted in her untimely death on July 5, 1937.

Quotes
"The most effective way to do it, is to do it!"
"Women, like men, should try to do the impossible. And when they fail, their failure should be a challenge to others."

Which Tribute Fits Her?
I am making a tribute to pay respect to her and many of her great accomplishments. My tribute will be the model of the Lockheed Vega, which she used to fly across the world, when her trip was cut short, due to her plane crash, leaving a big mystery that has yet to be solved to this day. The model will be in Atchison, Kansas, where she was born. It will be 50 x 50 feet, and the only interactive part will be a small, 2 seater section in the front of the plane, where the pilot will control the propeller (turn it on and off) and the lights. There will be as well a short video, like the one that was on this webpage.
